Just on the edge of Sydenham but in Penge, you'll find Himalayan Kitchen, which is run by the former head chef at Gurkhas. It's takeaway only but superb.

Himalayan Kitchen is excellent and it's NOT just takeaway only. They're not licensed so just take your own drink in, they have several tables one can dine at.

They have two tiny tables by the counter. Personally I'm not sure I'd fancy sitting there but each to their own.

Great food, regardless of size. Shame they can't find bigger premises.

Working Class 'cos their work was making stuff to be enjoyed by others and their income (afaik) came from that work. Without them the world would be a poorer place. Now what did the Middle Class ever do for us?
