Don't be a plonker Rodney.rod taylor wrote: What did you expect if you mock it? I'll give you an assumption - you are an inverted snob.
Read your statement here and explain its meaning?
It's all a bit sawn off shotgun at a clay pigeon shoot though isn't it Rodders? But to join the group and discuss at length, subjects unrelated to writing would be like joining a Chess Club and bringing your Draughts set.

That's a bit of a cop out dick, I'm not surprised though if I'm honest.dickp wrote:Step away from the post, Rod. mikecg ain't worf it!

Flipping heck mike, you are like a spotty, desperate little kid doing gross things in a vain attempt to get the attention of the cooler kids in school. No wonder dickp doesn't choose to engage with you.

I understand your disdain towards me, you're not the first woman on the internet to seek revenge via belligerence from a previous encounter and I doubt you'll be the last.Voyageur wrote:Flipping heck mike, you are like a spotty, desperate little kid doing gross things in a vain attempt to get the attention of the cooler kids in school. I don't mind if you feel the need to ridicule my observations, it isn't the first time you've chosen to liken me to an adolescent? I don't really care what you think tbh.

Originality really isn't your strong point is it dicky old chap?dickp wrote:1/10 must try harder.
Anyway, there really is no point to this so I'm going to do the right thing and concede, this willy waggling contest isn't going to get us anywhere so I shall bow out gracefully
Re: Regular day and time for writers' meeting
I'm pretty sure the only person here willy-waggling was you, mike. The rest of us were just sitting back and laughing. At you, not with you.

I didn't, I said that I could be.rod taylor wrote:I reckon you've got a chip on your shoulder mucky mickey. You're the one who called yourself a construct of conscience.
No Rod, I don't have a chip on my shoulder. It's a 56lb bag of King Edwards finest
Seriously, I'll admit I was a bit bored. So I thought I'd throw out a pajorative or two and spice the place up a bit with a sarcastic chronological diatribe. Sadly all it did was conjure defence peppered with purile reposte akin to "When in Rhome" and reading? which ironically had a spelling mistake in it
In the words of Miguel de Cervantes...
I tried more than once to jump from this thread, but the call to return was just too stongIt ill becomes you to assail one who cannot defend himself.
I apologise for my childish jibes and bare no mallace or ill-will.

So, is the *ahem* Sydenham Writers Guild meeting today?
I'm working on a report that's, well, really not that interesting - and would love some time out with real people.
