I have always found Fix My Street very effective at getting the council to sort out rubbish abandoned by others. I wonder if it will work for this

I always assumed it was CP. Live in Byne Road and we barely get signal and seem to lose it every time a plane goes overhead - thankfully planes over Sydenham are a rare occurrence

Did Sydenham suddenly become a mecca for beggars??

There is the toothless Caledonian who was sitting directly outside Tesco Express going for the you might notice me if you have to clamber over me approach - he was less than impressed at the sandwich I bought him but homeless or not if you don't ...

And in all the excitement of the new openings (On The Hoof and new cafe) we forgot all about the new mobile phone shack that has been carved out of the corner of the Costcutter up by Newlands Park.

Before you enjoy a delicious meal why not take some time to have your phone unlocked, buy a Lyca sim ...

I can strongly recommend the beef shin on the bone from Billings and cook it for low and slow for at least 6 hours...beef heaven even though it looks like a big cow cankle to start with....

Try the Old Bathhouse at the bottom of Sydenham Road next to The Bell pub, think the chap who runs it is called Peter.

He has loads of fireplaces, is reasonable and can advise on the right type of fireplace given size of hole and age of property. He sorted us out with a lovely cast iron fireplace ...

Perhaps it is just my perception as a recent immigrant to SE26 from the depths of Kent and no longer driving everywhere but I cannot help but notice the level of animal by-product on the streets.

If the cash was presented and not taken the ATM will retract the cash that is not taken, it puts it into a separate part so it can be identified. Depends on ATM but over 30 seconds and the ATM gets anxious and wants to take it back usually.

So assuming this is what happened the ATM will be over ...
