I think it's good that the Dolphin is trying a different tack and attempting to make a business out of a gastropub in Sydenham. I hope it does well, I think it probably will.

Do you use Google Earth at all? That can give you a fantastic aerial view of areas you are interested in. The resolution of the satellite photos is down to less than a metre and so might help give clues to what lies beneath the surface.
