There was a Police raid above Chef's Delight last evening, with the high street blocked off. And that explains why the police helicopter was overhead.

Had another delivery on Sat, new year's eve. But still missing things I know were posted first part of Dec.

Today, 29 Dec, I had my first postal delivery since the end of Nov. But not many letters and all of them were sent between 11 - 24 Nov. Nothing more recent. I know I am definitely missing stuff, including Christmas cards. Maybe the Dec post is in a different sack!

Have had no post since early Dec. Also in Lower Sydenham.

Deliveries seem to be back to normal, getting mail almost every day. Though I am missing one letter posted 1st class on 22nd Jan.

After a long time closed, I see Moynuls / Madina is soon to be yet another Indian restaurant. The banner says "Sydenham Tandoori. Authentic Indian restaurant. Opening 8 Nov 2021"

Strangely, last Saturday when there was a point failure and the Overground wasn't running from Forest Hill towards London, the Southern trains were running from FH and Sydenham to Victoria. There were 2 an hour.

I totally agree as I find it virtually impossible to get through to the surgery on the phone.

Just found my covid jab barcode and it says "2D barcode expiration date 20 June 2021". What does this expiry mean??????

I managed to register, but the app won't let me log in, the circle just keeps spinning. So I can't book anything even though I've signed up. And staff at the reception don't know what's wrong with the app!

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a car workshop on Burnham Way in Lower Sydenham. A very smelly fire in the industrial estate in Lower Sydenham, lots of fire engines on route.

I think it is being taken over by a croquet club, so will no longer be used for bowls.

Apparently they are back in Sainsburys car park at Bell Green today.

I popped in for a look and although it looks nice, it seems expensive. Tinned soup is expensive and a couple of other things I looked at.
