Postal delays?

Post by alywin »

I've had a couple of rental DVDs which have taken days and days to turn up rather than the usual 1 day on first class. I initially assumed that the problem was at the other end, but am now starting to wonder. A newsletter arriving today containing details of a meeting which actually took place yesterday (albeit the sender does tend to leave it until the last minute), a credit card bill which normally arrives at the end of the month rather than the beginning of the next one, a somewhat late bank statement ... I know we've recently had a bank holiday, which will obviously have caused some delays, but is anyone else around here aware of obvious signs of delays to post in this area?

I sent some dvd's that I won on ebay which have taken over 2 weeks so far!

So yes, basically, it's being a bit rubbish.

Not 5 or 6, then? I knew there was a reason I usually used 2nd.
