buying a house in sydenham

Post by bobby blue »

Hi guys!

Wondering if any of you can help me out. I am interested in buying a house in sydenham and really like knighton park road.

I like the 4 semi detached houses at the end of the road - bit gutted as I only noticed one was for sale after the SOLD sign went up!

I did see another one on the road but it cost a lot more than the (in my opinion) nicer semi detached! Can't understand why someone would pay so much more for a house that doesn't have a large garden and detached garage like the one I fell in love with!

I just love the look of that house - does anyone know of any other going up for sale and what are your views on buying on this road/surrounding roads?

Cheers!

Well Sydenham seems to be growing in popularity - it just needs the 'right sort' of amenities to support its new demographic. Presumably only a matter of time - we've had an new 'Gastro' pub open on the high street (see near obsessive forum debates!!) and most of us expect that to be the 'shape of things to come'. A tube line is extending to Sydenham - the new East London Line overground - will improve links to the other tube stations in 2010. My flat has gone up in value dramatically in just 18 months. I think Sydenham is easier to get into town compared to East Dulwich and neighbouring Crystal Palace/Forest Hill/Lordship Lane are decent places to check out for bars/restaurants etc. Good luck with house purchase.
