Good garage for car with turbo

Post by stone28 »

Hi,

I am looking for a good/reliable garage which specialises in Turbo Cars. My Car is now in Dartmouth Service Station but they say it's above their skills and I have to take it to somebody who knows about Turbo cars. I have Vauxhall Astra Coupe Petrol 2.0 Turbo car and I am looking for a place I can trust that they know what they doing. I had bad experiences already and would like to finally find some good mechanics in the area.

Thanks for all the help in advance.

Try having a look at an Astra owners forum, you might spot someone who has experienced similar turbo trouble and can recommend somewhere to fix it. If not, you can always just register on the forum and describe your problems, members on those sort of forums are usually extremely helpful (I'm on one for the car I own).

Edit:- Just beaten me to it! Good luck. :)

;-) Thank you for the reply.

Yes I did create account there straight away. I was a member of that kind of forum back in Poland which was REALLY helpful. But asked here as well just in case.

Thanks again.

In response to your message. You brought your car back to us almost a year after we fixed your oil leak and at the time we recommended a new rocker cover gasket, you declined this advice and failed to regularly check your oil level and because you had run your car dry of oil this blew the turbo. You confronted us with a disrespectful attitude blaming us for the turbo blowing. We did not say that it is above our skills, we are more than capable of fixing it, but due to your attitude we decided that you are not the kind of customer we want here at Dartmouth. We gave you contact details of a turbo specialist and asked you to leave. We have been trading here for over 25 years and never in that time have we had complaints or dissatisfied customers. Our customers come from as far as Holland for us to fix their cars and count several police officers as regulars. We take pride in offering the best service possible for people but what we do not appreciate is disrespectful accusations and then inaccurate posting about our business.
