I would like to recommend an organisation called Myrrh Education who have a workshop in Ossory Road, just off Old Kent Road. Trainee mechanics are taught to NVQ level and watched over and trained by fully qualified staff. They do not charge for labour, only parts. My friends and I have been using them for years. I once had an old banger which the AA(the automobile association in case you are wondering!) told me to get rid of. I took it there and once they had fixed it I drove it around for another year.
