Time for another STF social?

Post by Checkmate »

How about it? A gathering in a pub somewhere? Admin with his pink FT, Checkmate with his purple beer?

Suits me, but as I am early shift the day after, I'll have to be leaving about 9pm.

I can make that so might well put in an appearance (even though I live out in Kent now, I'll be finishing work at 1800 in the borough so it's not much of a detour)

Oh dear......17th is St. Paddys day..... Are we still up for what is going to be more of a noisy drunken evening, or shall we choose a quieter day with better chatting atmosphere?

If we start at 7pm it shouldn't be too busy. If it gets too much we can always adjourn to the Dolphin. Or we could start there ... as Bensonby is in for the first round ...

I'll try and make it - don't care whether its Dolphin or Golden Lion.

Are there really only 4 people willing to come?

You lot really are a bunch of boring sods.....

Come on....i'd really like to put a name to a face for some people (and meet the one's I've already met)

Even Nasaroc was known to come for a shandy occassionally (or was it a pinot grigio?)

I'm afraid it may be back to four :( I should know tomorrow, may have to do a late shift instead of an early.

I'll be carrying a copy of the financial times, a monicle and a carnatic in my buttonhole.

Thanks Lee that conjures up a delighful image. The only pic I've got of me and Voyageur was taken on a girls day out last summer; after a whirlwind perambulation of the park, our carers left us on a bench when this nice young man stopped to let us cop a feel:

Make sure you take the shades off DoC , otherwise you won't get recognised .

Sage advice Dorian. Thanks. I shall add that to my list:

bus pass (tick)
tena lady (tick)
teeth (tick)
wig (tick)
can of Carling (tick)
Golden Virginia (tick)
shades (x)

And will we have the pleasure of your company young man? Last time I saw Dorian we spent far too long and far too much in an underground Algerian bar, swapping currency, swigging cocktails and chewing cud.
Thanks to V for being such a good sport. It's a great pic and I knew she wouldn't mind me mentioning the carers. Here's another park bench moment, we were enjoying a day out dressed as Armenians.
