LOCAL PROPERTIES SOLD AT AUCTION

Post by leenewham »

I thought these might be of interest, looks like Lewisham offloaded a lot of property recently. No wonder out council tax didn't go up this year!:

The fire station, Forest Hill:
I understand this is listed. I hope that it gets sensitive treatment:
Here are the details and the sale price:

Not sure where this one is, but I bet it becomes more housing:

This next one is of particular interest (it's at the top of Kent House Road net to the Wesley Chapel). I notice the workmen are already in there, the lights are on and a skip is outside. Hopefully it will be renovated, I'd hate for it to be knocked down, which as the grounds seem quite extensive may happen to maximise profit on the site. Worth keeping an eye out for any planning notices.

We actually had a view people come into our office about the third plot on Sydenham road, as they were doing research about local prices. But by what they were saying they were confident they could get planning for 4/5 flats in the building and 2 houses behind which would be entered via the left hand side of the building. I do not know who managed to buy the plot in the end, so please do not quote me.

The second plot is just past that building, if you are going down Sydenham road, Addington Grove is the next turning on the left after that building, and that day centre is located there.

Yes, I have also noticed the clearing work being done on that property on Sydenham Road. It'll be great to have that place tidied up and occupied.

A shame nothing seems to be being done about that awful eyesore with the bricked-up windows a bit further down, opposite the library. It's a shame because it's an attractive building. Could be converted into some pretty nice flats.

Yes, I wonder about that place too as it's opposite where I live.

It may be subject to a 'what if' sooner rather than later...

I live just down from these houses and they had an eviction notice on the one that's not bricked up a few weeks back, must have been done due to squatters. Do also hope they get done up sooner rather than later, they look terrible right now.
