I think we are very lucky in this area to have as many treee as as we already have - some years ago I was told that Crystal Palace Park had a greater variety of trees than Kew Gardens! Don't know if that was true but my brother who is a horticulturist (here and in North America) was not inclined to disagree. Does it follow that more trees mean more tree huggers, rather than those who are prepared to concentrate on the more pressing issues of the dreary state of the High Street ands the regeneration of the local area?
