There are some very interesting films available on the Movietone web page, but this, from 1911, showing King George and Queen Mary in Sydenham is quite intriguing.
can anyone place the location?

Could it be Fountain Road? That looks like the the large house on the Parade between Shubbery and Fountain Roads. Now demolished of course.

Looks like they are entering the Crystal Palace using the North Tower entrance. I have a postcard, but am going out now, and bet someone else will have posted it by my return.
