Who is worth a mention in here as a local 'unsung' hero?
I vote for the friendliest security guard/basket collector I have ever seen in Somerfield. His enthusiasm, warmth and humour are infectious.
So, who else is worthy of praise?
LOCAL (unsung) HEROS
I'd vote for the Lewisham Counil Street Cleaner on Dartmouth Road. He's friendly, polite but most importantly brilliant at picking up litter. The streets are immaculate after he's done them - despite having all the Sydenham girls taking the wrappers off their fags and throwing them in the street. He knocks spots off the lazy bloke who sits on the wall...er...picks up litter up our road.
I would like to nominate the ticket office attendant at Lower Sydenham Station (the old Guy who loves to chat)
This morning i come out with out my session ticket this morning and instead of saying well you will just have to get a return and be done with it. He talked me through what i needed to do to clam the money back he took time to find my recored on the system so he could write down my ticket number for me so i could put it on my clams form, with out this info i would not have known i could have calmed my travel back.
Some people go on about how much he chats and hold people up but i think it's nice to see someone with a smile on there face and is always willing to go that extra mile to help.
well done that man.
