Tomorrow morning, Saturday 12th November at 11am, Barratt Homes are holding an online consultation for their plans for the gasholder site at Bell Green. Blocks of flats up to 14 storeys high, and zero parking except for disabled bays. This will require a controlled parking zone, which may be a problem for some neighbours.

Barratt Homes zoom tomorrow Sat 12th at 11am
Re: Barratt Homes zoom tomorrow Sat 12th at 11am
Does anyone else feel like this proposed build is discriminating against the working class?
I say this as on the Zoom this morning, they explained that it’s a car free development. When you purchase or rent you agree to not have a car.
They are pushing out tradesman, carers, delivery drivers etc.

Did anyone attend? I don't understand this: large parts of the surrounding area, I understood, weren't allowed to have housing built on them because of contamination, yet it's okay to build on this part of the land? No remediation? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. And 14 storeys? In an area where the maximum height thus far is less than half that? Not acceptable, in my opinion.
