Oh, sorry. What you see in the picture I posted is the low level corridor walkway that joined the station with the main building, so it was like an extension of the south wing to keep the Victorian visitors covered from rain. The 2-storey part of the low level corridor terminus is what joined directly onto the station--itself positioned behind it--both old and new buildings were in the same position judging by maps. The current building (1875) has distinctive tall chimneys/architecture, but the original building was evidently much shorter*, and so not much can be seen in the photo.davegr wrote:Bit confused here.
