The buildings in the following photograph looks similar to the buildings at the junction with Lawrie Park Road, albeit smaller. Maybe I've got it wrong and Park Court was somewhere else? It's not still standing is it?
The above was taken in about 1940 and shows bomb damage.
I think you're right, Falkor. You date the picture to 1940 but Park Court, at the Lawrie Park Road/CP Park Road junction, was hit by a bomb on 1 Aug 1944. At least three people died and their names are on a memorial in St Bart's.
Looks like Park Court, but if it is then there's some inconsistencies
I think the 1944 bomb landed on Border Road and severely damaged Fountain Court and caused minor damage to Park Court. Damage in the photo appears to be to the front, not the back, as it would have been with a V1in Border Road.
