With apologies for the blatant self-publicising, I hope I can attract a few of you to a reading I'll be giving at Kirkdale Bookshop next Friday evening at 7.30pm. My book, published three days ago, is called 'Long Shot Summer' and tells the story of a chaotic summer for English cricket when, in 1988, the England team went through four captains and innumerable players in just one season.
I'll be giving a reading, answering questions and generally being affable as we all enjoy a glass of wine. Hope some of you can come along. More details here: http://kirkdalebookshop.com/events/
