SE London’s Biggest Arts & Culture Spectacular
There are only three days until the sixth annual Sydenham Arts Festival, which runs for 16 days and features some of the best in music, theatre, comedy and spoken word. There are more than 60 events, many of them free.
As the only London borough without a cinema we are really happy to be screening a variety of films for all ages. Come along and share the moving picture experience with others!

All Quiet on the Western Front - Thursday 10 July (to be introduced by local writer and broadcaster Matthew Sweet)
Sunset Boulevard - Friday 11 July
Hour of the Wolf - Monday 14 July
Farewell My Concubine - Thursday 15 July
Treacle Jr - Thursday 17 July

There are also lots of opportunities to get creative with a host of workshops, including Young People’s Film Workshop & Special Screening (12-19) on Sunday 13 July, Performing Monologue Workshop Thursday 10 July, Making a Poem Workshop, with festival poet Gale Burns, on Saturday 12 July and Launch Pad: Urban Arts Workshops at TNG, is teaching circus skills to 8-12s and street dance and DJing to 13+ at the state-of-the-art, RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award-winning venue.
The Artists Trail, which showcases the work of more than 150 local artists over two weekends, also includes more than 30 workshops and demonstrations, from Indian art and printing to knitting and pottery.
