Coming up the high street about 8.50pm noticed the pavement outside LA Fitness and adjacent shops and also Lawrie Park Rd cordoned off with police incident tape . Added to which several police cars and about 10 police officers .
Clearly some unpleasantness has taken place . Anyone heard anything ?

Someone was stabbed around the petrol garage area. A friend lives on Peak hill ave and had to be escorted to her home by a police officer, as the road was taped off. He told her they had a few people in custody.

Have had the police round our building in Park Court on Lawrie Park Road, they are searching the area in connection with "youths fighting" and stabbing each other. Have had police cars and vans round here since at least 700 this evening...

The police officer told my friend that the person who was stabbed was in a very bad way and it wasn't looking good for him/her

Yep... just been told by officers on both Peak Hill Avenue and Spring Hill that "they don't know what has happened" which of course means they know but aren't telling me, so must have been a pretty serious incident.
Don't really like the sound of that given that we live a stone's throw from the garage. Still, nothing like that has happened in the 10 years we've been here which is a miracle given some of the fights after Zanzibar nights.
