Child Grooming law petition

Post by catwoman »

The reason this petition has come about is because of a story that was published in the daily mirror. Here it is...

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/wo ... ed-3607865

If you feel that the law should be changed then please sign the petition

Here is the petition: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/65702

Man thanks

a brief note detailing what the story is about, and what law the petition seeks to change would be good for those of us who chose not to click on links to webpages of certain media organisations.

You might get more replies - also a subject that is more informative might get more views too.

I've read the article, and whilst I agree that it's terrible that the law has such a loophole I won't be signing the petition.

This young girl's father is being taken to court next month for harassing her abuser, yet her abuser cannot be taken to court because of a loophole in the law. How is this fair if Rolf Harris was found guilty years after he had committed the crime yet this girl's abuser is protected by the fact that the crime was committed a long time ago? Why is this any different?

I'm sorry if you're fed up of hearing about this but I'm not giving up helping this young woman as these abusers need to be punished for their crimes.

Thank you
Annie.

Why not go through change.org or 38 degrees? They send them round to thousands of people.

Very sad case , however cannot see the government bringing in retrospective legislation.

Good Luck anyway.

Feline Lady.

I am sure you have good intentions but insulting people who choose not to sign your petition may not help your cause.

Remember politeness at all times.

Thanks for that eagle. I didn't mean to offend anyone intentionally, just speaking out loud. You say politeness at all times? Take a look at some of your posts from the past. I'm not here to argue with anyone, just trying to save children from dirty perverts.

No problem Catlady.

Appreciate you intentions.

By the way , not really relevant , but not sure I have ever made an attack on any one else on the Forum. But maybe a few years back.
