Robbery in Peak Hill Avenue

Post by Peak Hillbilly »

Hello
I thought I would let people know that we had a burglary on Friday (probably in the afternoon) at our downstairs flat in Peak Hill Avenue. The thieves stole camera equipment, electronics and documents and would have left our place with a large black suitcase on wheels. If you think you saw anything please send a message and we will forward it on to the police.
Thanks v. much

Really sorry to read this, it must have been terrible to return and discover this! Do you know how the burglar(s) got in?

Having been burgled 14 times in my life I can commiserate. The incidence of burglary in Sydenham was dramatically reduced by the police targeting the crime a few years ago. One wonders if they have moved their focus to other crimes and it is beginning to creep back up.

Meanwhile here is one Sydenham guy who won't be doing any for a year or so:

14 times , you have been very unlucky.

I have been lucky SO FAR , however fully appreciate that could change.

Stocks in the new Venner Rd Pocket Park might help in shaming criminals.

We were burgled five times and had our front window smashed four times, you obviously had more riches than us Admin! :D

Ps, love the stocks idea Eagle!

Thanks Annie.

From what you hear you have to burgle about 100 houses to get about 30 mins community work.

Robbery is a very serious crime and should be treated as such.

Agreed. This seems to be a burglary though. Still serious for the victim but there is a difference.
