Correction, I meant to say 5am, equally though 2am is still far too late to allow.

You have a valid point and understand the closing time would not be a problems if similar clubs in other local areas had the same hours.

Problems mainly caused by rush from other clubs for a last desperate 3 hours of drinking.

As far as I understand we do not need the others that close.

I understand most of these people travel a few miles.

I'm a bit late to this party but how are the club's patrons getting there then? It's not like there are loads of black cabs circulating Lewisham at that time in the morning. I've known the police in other areas suspected of being drink-driving hotspots to set up camp and do random breathalyser tests. Wouldn't a few weeks of that act as a good deterrent?

There is the 176 all night and 75 for a fair bit of it. Plus a conveniently timed departure home from Sydenham Station @ 05:24. If it must be by taxi and need not be black then London Cars @ Sydenham Station provide an excellent service.

With all these fine alternate options maybe we should go for a 24 hour CPZ? At least they would then be paying for their pleasures or our friendly parking attendant on his scooter would be sticking one on them

Great idea, only thing is the Police budget has been slashed so they are limited in their resource which are spread thinly at weekends. :(
