My house was built in late 1896/ early 1987, so just missed being on this map. I dug out the old deeds to the house and found the name of the builder responsible - Edward Van Vliet. He did a lot of work in Dulwich as well, and I found this said about him in 1875: "Mr Edward van Vliet ...a man of some means and bearing a very good character, having carried out large building operations in Sydenham in a satisfactory manner"
More than satisfactory - even now, every tradesman and builder who works on my house comments on how incredibly well it was built.
