Just Wandering if anybody had any good photos of the Old Stadium inside Crystal Palace park were FA Cup finals were played before the building of Wembley and what the site looked like before the currant stadium was built in 1977.

A copy of the book photo of the 1911 cup final sits on the wall behind my computor because I am a proud Bradford City supporter and the 1911 FA Cup victory, after a replay at Old Trafford, remains our sole major trophy.

Attendance was 69,000.

FA Cup finals were played at the Palace between 1896 and 1914 so if you search any of the websites of clubs that won in those years you may well find images.

You can buy this one for $28 but they are not sure of the year so I wouldn't

Getty Images own the rights to four pictures of the 1911 cup final. If you go to http://www.gettyimages.com/Search and search Bradford City in sport, go to page 25 and you can see them, including the one I have. Unfortunately they want around £100 for a print but Im going to buy one one day!

Hope that is some help and if you find any reasonably priced 1911 images please let me know.

Thanks Simon but Ironically i'm a proud Newcastle United fan (what are the odds?) So i won't be interested in a print. Thanks for the picture links. I look out for sporting photos and things to do with Newcastle United history so i'll tell you if i see any websites that sell cheaper prints. By the way do you know were i can get a copy of the above book?

Well Nicholas I would not be surprised if either the Kirkdale Bookshop or the Crow up at the Palace had a copy or were able to order it for you. Can see why you dont want pictures of the 1911 final, but your lot won about 7 FA Cups before then didn't you? Seem to remember you lost in the 1912 final too, to Barnsley of all clubs!

Cheers Simon i'll have a lokk in Kirkdale. Newcastle never won a Match at the Crytal Palace despite getting to the final 5 times in 6 years lucky for us in thoes days drawn finals were replayed. Do you know if England ever played in Sydenham?
