Re: 5-a-side footie
Thankfully you have plenty of players for tonight but have to pull out - family emergency.
If I need to make up the subs let me know.
Apologies

Good game tonight. On paper it should have been very evenly matched, but it didn't quite work out like that!
In for next week.

Re: 5-a-side footie
Indeed it didn't - better teamwork I think was probably the difference. Regardless I've given the 'Balance-A-Tron 5000' a sound Fawlty-style thrashing and had it re-calibrated. Normal service will (perhaps) be resumed next week.biscuitman1978 wrote:Good game tonight. On paper it should have been very evenly matched, but it didn't quite work out like that!
Re: 5-a-side footie
Upon returning home I regaled Katherine of my goal. "Peach of a header, I must have been about tweeennntttyyyy feet high; hanging in the air...BANG, met it plum and it arrowed into the top right of the goal with the goalie rooted to the spot. Everyone was clapping and laughing at the incredulity of such an effort."
Well; didn't seem right to spoil it by telling her it was an OG!?
Think I am out for next week as will be in Geneva.

Re: 5-a-side footie
I'll be there next week, 'natch but just wanted to float an idea...we've got approx. £230 in the kitty and it's burning a hole in the tupperware box. A few of us have discussed the idea of a night out, sometime in March/April. There have been a couple of suggestions; either a spot of golf at a Central London facility like Urban Golf http://www.urbangolf.co.uk/play/rule-3- ... ning-times (although it does look quite expensive) or an evening of bowling http://www.allstarlanes.co.uk/ which will be cheaper and probably a bit more appealing to those who don't play golf.
Anyway, let me know what you think, plus any other suggestions you might want to float.
