Hello.
We need to fit an air vent into a double-glazed UPVC window. Does anyone know any reputable companies that could do the job (cheaply and with no hard sell)?
Thanks

I think you would have to get a new pane made . I don't think they can cut a hole in an existing sealed unit. I would try Walsh glaziers in East Dulwich for advice. Link above, not super cheap but they know what they are talking about.

Yes Geri, that would make sense as D/Glazed units are airsealed in their construction.gerispringer wrote:http://www.walshglazing.co.uk/location.htm

Would have thought they would measure the D/G unit and make another with vent in,
then just visit to fit/change over? Although I'm no expert.
Personally I would make a few phone calls (armed with some dimensions) to get prices.
It may well be quite a standard modification in the glazing trade.
Tony, Good luck and would be very interested to know the outcome.
