New Road Name

I was strolling along from Kente to Lawrie Park this morning with a friend and mentioned that what we want is a new name for that stretch of road( from Station to Cobb's Corner.

Why not Dame Patricia Way. This surely would result in an increase in civic pride.

Dame Cicely or Dame Patricia both great names for the cultural centre of Sydenham.

I dont think actors or even singers,footballers,etc etc should have the honour of having a road or anything come to that, named after them,someone who has helped other people, sir Madgi Yacoub heart transplant pioneer for example. I have no time for celebrities so called.

Looking on Wiki seems an actor who appears from V Jones Esq. No further comment.

Seems to be from the Land of The North Folk , so not sure if he has any connection to our fare suburb.

No we want a proper celebrity like one of the Ladies mentioned.

Wiki may be wrong (surprise, surprise). Stratham is definitely a Londoner and lived in Sydenham. He was also a world-class diver. He was spotted by the model agency based in the Crystal Palace Sports Centre when he was practicing for his diving (my guess is he was practicing on the trampolines, which are located beside the model agents offices) and from there moved into acting.

I saw him in the Savacentre a few years ago, along with his then-girlfriend Kelly Brook.
