According to Joan Alcock's new book (see review on mainsite) Park Road Sydenham became Sydenham Park Road - see this map:

Funnily enough I was walking down that road on Sunday but didn't take any photos. The houses appear to be mostly 'between the wars' semi-detached so it may no longer exist. If nobody else comes up with more info - I'll have another look with camera this weekend.

Coincidentally the nearby Sydenham Park - which is a road - was the scene of Sydenham's latest adventure. You can also see a picture here which includes No 3 (the blue door nearest camera):

West Kent Park means nothing to me. Hopefully Sydenham's historical expert will be along shortly with more information

West Kent Park was actually in Forest Hill. It was a development of mainly small terraced houses and shops, built from the late 1850s. The area today is bounded by Beadnell Road, Ewart Road, Brockley Rise and Stanstead Road. You can see it here:

Many years ago Park Road was renamed Wastdale Road. Most of West Kent Park has been redeveloped as an industrial estate, and is not attractive. However, parts of Wastdale Road have survived and no.3 is still there (it is an Indian takeaway). The numbering has completely changed since the 1860s, so this might not be the building your ancestor lived in. If you let me know his name, I might be able to dig out a bit more information.
