I've often thought Olympic spitting would be a popular sport in London. There'd certainly be no shortage of skillful competitors, following the example set by Premier League footballers.

Disgusting habit! Why men and not woman?
When I was about 6 yrs old,we always went to the Arcades in Brixton market, great place to go.
However a man "gobbed" ( sorry not nice I know) and it ended up in my hand! Dirty bAr steward. ;0))

Ewww Annie - how horrid for you!

Sadly, it's not just the dirty old men spitting nowadays. Not so long ago I was waiting in the bus shelter by The Woodman when a young "lady" from Sydenham girls school was sitting next to me in the shelter. She spread her legs and gobbed between her feet. Saw my disgust and said: "Do you like that then?" To which I said "No - my grandmother died of TB. What you did is not only disgusting, it's dangerous." To which she replied: "What's TB?"

I despair what they teach them nowadays.

Anyway, I gave her the TB lecture and then - to add insult to injury - she asked me if I was a teacher!

How disgusting Mary,I know I sound like my mother now, but,we wouldn't have dared to do that,my old mum would have found out "somehow" and clipped my ear!
And they try to tell me things are better these days,
well theres one example why it's not.
Manners Maketh Man. Supposedly.
