Happened upon a rather unusual/disturbing sight last night (Wednesday) at 7.45pm: a group, or an unkindness, of ravens mobbing a single heron. The birds were flying very low and were making a terrible racket. Well, the ravens were anyway — the heron looked terrified (serves it right for trying to eat baby ravens... probably). The attack went on for a few minutes. Anyone see/hear them?
Wish I could have filmed it and sold it to dailymail.co.uk. They publish any old crap.
Oh, it was near the entrance to Mayow park.
An "unkindness" on Silverdale
Re: An "unkindness" on Silverdale
Knowing the mail they'd only twist it to make out inner city gang related muggings are more widespread than previously thought.

They were most probably crows.
The Mail would seize on the fact that these crows were all black
Some moron would then blame every bird coloured black for mobbing of other birds
