Breakfast/brunch recommendations

Morning. Looking for a good place for a fry up - not too greasy but not as overpriced as the Blue Mountain. Forest Hill / Sydenham areas. Thanks!

Maybe a little out of your way but I can't recommend highly enough the fabulous breakfasts at the Bluebell cafe in Maple Rd in Penge. If you like things a little spicy, Latino (Westow St, Crystal Palace) does a very good venezualan take on breakfast - shredded spicy beef, scrambled eggs, black beans and a little corn pattie thing that melts in the mouth.

Cafe Jasmine on Kirkdale do a fine fry up, really friendly too.

I would recommend Sema's Cafe quicker than one could say " two on two with beans and a sausage".
Apart from the staunch breakfasting on offer, Sema's is clean, well run and very friendly.
It is not off-putting to ladies, it being run by a particularly charming lady who keeps everyone in order and on best behaviour.
It does not really serve coffee in the better sense of the word but frankly I find a mug of strong and steaming tea is the best accompaniment to any breakfast that does not wish to be accused of being
"continental" or worse , an inference nobody should ever level at Sema's.
I liked it from the days when I was looking for our first flat in Sydenham and it never disappoints .
On that I believe sound basis, I commend it to you.
