Re: Counsellor /Therapist wanted
Gp surgeries in Lewisham, and the whole of London (if not the country now as this initiative has been country wide) have access to IAPT (improving access to psychological therapies) which have a website, google Iapt, people can usually self refer (without visiting the Gp).
They offer CBT for anxiety, depression and related problems, it's a gateway into other therapies too, counselling, trauma etc, all provided by the NHS. The services are locally based and offer psychologist's, group's, computerised work from home or libraries and self directed therapies (with guidance from a worker)
For private sessions It really depends on what the focus of the problem is, you could look at the BACP and BABCP website as they give more details and the therapist are registered. (thats important)
Hope it goes well for you or the person who needs to talk
