Can you assist me?

Post by Bill R »

Hello: I have been reading your forum in anticipation of a 3 month trip to your area from the U.S. I need some help in contacting my prospective landlord. Their email seems to be down, and I can't make telephone contact with the number I was given. I am hoping that one of you might have some insight regarding your neighbor. I noticed that one member of this forum said that they lived on Venner Road. That is the address of the flat I am negotiating--#79, the owner is K. Thompson.

Thanks from a future short time neighbor!

If you tell us the number you are trying to ring we would be able to help you.

It should be +44 208 and then 7 digits if its a landline.

If its a mobile (cellphone) it would be +44 7 and 9 digits.

+44 is the international code. Landlines in Sydenham will always have the local code of 208 and then 7 more digits.

Mobiles always start with 7 and then 9 more digits.

Thank you! I discovered when reading your response that I had an extra digit in the number I was using. Reservations have now been completed.
We are looking forward to visiting your community, it's great to know that there are such helpful people such as those of you on this forum.
I am sure that we will have more questions as arrival time gets nearer.
