anything near Westwood Hill?

Hello, I'm moving to a flat at the top of Westwood Hill. I have a 1 year old little boy and I know Crystal Palace Park is pretty close but does anyone know any good places/shops nearby that I should check out?

Welcome to the area

Not sure about Sydenham as I haven't lived there for years (I am sure someone from this site can help), but Crystal Palace has some great independant shops/restaurants/pubs/bars. Try checking out Virtual Norwood http://www.virtualnorwood.com/forum/index.php for a better idea.

Well I need just a little shop nearby to get day to day groceries, Sydenham high street looks a long way away to just pop to. Then just a few nice places to go (with the baby!).

There may be a little 'corner shop' close to you - maybe someone else can help with that. Other than that, CP has a couple of small supermarkets and a larger Sainsburys. Penge has a great place called the Penge Food Centre which is great value and full of exotic stuff.

CP has a fair amount of cafes and bars that mums with tots seem to congregate during the day, I am sure Sydenham probably does too.
