About 4:15 this afternoon several police cars and an ambulance appeared on Princethorpe Road and blocked off an area. I walked over to see what was going on when I saw someone being taken into the ambulance. I was told that a teenager was chased, by a group of youths, up Princethorpe and stabbed repeatedly.
I have no idea if the person survived or if they caught any suspects. When I was there several people were giving statements and descriptions to the police.

Re: stabbing on Princethorpe
I was in Sydenham at this time and over heard 3 lads say that they were going "to do someone properly" when I was coming out of a shop. At he time I was worried but hoped they were only joking. Not sure if I should report this.

Re: stabbing on Princethorpe
Yes, I'd ring. One of them, the victim or the attackers, was carrying a portion of chips that was thrown onto the middle of the road just were the incident happened. There were a lot of pictures being taking of the bag of chips. I'm guessing if you heard this near a chip shop you should call!
Re: stabbing on Princethorpe
I had just come out the Pound Plus shop two doors away from a chip shop
I have now called 101

Re: stabbing on Princethorpe
A resident on Princethorpe came out of her house with her (grown up) son and chased the attackers away I believe. If that is correct then I should think she and her son saved his life

POLICE and ambulance staff were called out to a stabbing in Sydenham yesterday afternoon which left a 17-year-old boy in hospital.
Today, shocked residents described how around five youths had chased the victim up Princethorpe Road before stabbing, hitting and kicking him repeatedly.
One woman, who did not want to be named, described how the boy was yelling “Please help me” before he was set upon.
She said: “It was harrowing. They jumped on him, kicking him in the face and head.
“One had something that looked like a small knife and he was stabbing him around the chest and arm.
“I was screaming ‘please stop’.”
Four of the boys ran off after being scared away by one neighbour, but another youth just stood by a tree, calmly staring as the wounded teen tried to get into a house for help.
Neighbours rang for the ambulance and used towels on the boy to stem the flow of blood.
