What do you think of Sydenham dentist?
I've been there a few times now and the consistently miss out obvious problems within my mouth. The first time I went there I had to point out an obvious problem that the woman did not bring up. Another time I went there it was the same problem but worse, but instead of telling me that I have a problem he (Another person within the dentist), all he could come up with is "you should floss more" before he even noticed the main problem that clearlly stands out from everything in my mouth (I had to tell him).
Have you had any problems with them?

Do not know the dentist.
Good one in Lawrie Park Road. Have been a client for about 40 years.

do you mean the ADP practice? When Barry was there it was very good. Now I see a different dentist everytime I go and I feel the standard is not the same.
I saw a woman there once who had some work done and she was complaining.

I have found them to be not very good to be honest. The last two times I went in they had a cursory glance in my mouth for about 20 seconds said "fine" and charged me £25 or whatever it is. They don't even do the scale and polish which they used to do included in that price. Utter rip off.

yes they do not offer they same quality of service a they used to do when Barry and his brother were the owners of the practice.
I was told to have a filling, which was nto necessary and the dentist did it so coarse that I could have pulled it out with my nail.
Is the dentist in Laurie Park accepting NHS patients or is he private?

I changed to the Perry vale Dentist, they are a lot better than the ADP practice. ADP scales a few teeth, but the one in Perry Vale did them all as the were bits of plaque because my teeth are so crowded. I would recommend them.

If the one in question is that on the left hand side a bit further down towards Bell Green after the garage, then I didn't go a bundle on them either after trying them a couple of times simply as they are within walking distance. I've always happily gone to Forest Hill for years, and still do (aside from that short blip), being the one at 3 Dartmouth Rd, more or less next door to the station & WH Smith, http://www.dentistryforyou.co.uk/sites/ ... index.html
I suppose it depends on which dentist you get in any practice (and who you get along with), but if not happy, should definitely request a different dentist or go to a different practice in my opinion.

I don't think is a question on how you get on with a dentist. It is a question how good they are doing the job they are supposed to do.
Re: What do you think of Sydenham dentist?
Can't argue with that. However, my experience might not be representative and I'm not even sure I'm talking about the same practice as in the opening post, so must carefully limit my words to "unhappy with dentist after two appointments and getting nowhere so went back to usual dentist". Hopefully others have more positive things to say.
