Just to introduce myself. As you'll see from my location, I actually live in Mayow Park, and I'm interested in all sorts of things going on there. I'm also happy to help with the Mayow Park blog :D

I am that tree. Ents have moved on since the days of JRR Tolkein, and are now on line. And it's metasequoia

THIS SUNDAY 27th February 11am - 1pm
PROJECT GROW: CHILDREN’S PERMACULTURE CLUB
EVERY LAST Sunday of the month
£3 p child/ £1 consessions
children ages 8 to 12
kids activities include:
• Nature: observation, identification, local plant knowledge
• Permaculture gardening and pragmatic earth-skills
• Animal wisdom: What can we learn from birds, bees, worms?
(But why only learning from animals? What about trees and other plants? That's not just speciesist, it's Kingdomist!)

Nature watch Club Sunday 6th March 10am -12pm
Every 1st Sunday of the month
ages 3 and up welcome Theme: Sowing & Growing!
and finally from the Friends of Mayow Park:
Bird Walk

When:
Sunday 6th March 2011 at 7am
Where:
Meet at the Pavilion, near the Burghill Road entrance

The walk will take approximately 1 hour.
Please bring binoculars if you have them.
