My husband was just out walking our dog, when he called me to say he had found a Jack Russell wandering up Crystal Palace Park Road. It had a collar on but no ID tag. I went outside to help, but even though we tried for nearly half an hour, we failed to get close enough to the terrier to catch hold of it. We followed the dog but it ran under the gate at the big car park opposite Sydenham Avenue,so we slipped through the hole in the fence and chased it around the lower park of the park. The dog is a male, pointy Jack Russell ears, white with brown patches and a long fluffy tail. He has a tartan collar. He was timid but inquisitive, but looked like he was limping a bit. In the end, he ran off up into the wooded area to the right of the car park, and we couldn't follow him or even see him after that.
If this is your dog, or sounds like a dog you know, then the dog is probably still running around in the park somewhere. He looked ok, not like he had been on the run for too long, but looked well cared for so I imagine somebody out there is really sad and missing their doggy. Not sure if this helps in any way, but we wanted to pass on this sighting info anyway.
I did take a really rubbish photo, which I don't know to attached but would happily email someone.
