Hello All
I am a new poster. I have been checking out the site because my ancestors lived in Sydenham for many years... there may still be some living there. Their last name was FRIEND. My 3X great grandparents lived at 6 Stanton Road for many years beginning in the 1880s up until and perhaps beyond 1929. If there are any relatives still left I would love to hear from them or anybody else who has information pertaining to this family.

Ancestors from Sydenham
Welcome to the board, Karen; I'm a fairly new poster, too. I wish I had some ancestors from Sydenham; that way, I would be more encouraged to research the history of the parishes there. I do have a Friend line in my tree, however, from another part of Kent (Sydenham used to actually be a part of Kent as well!). We may be related by a common Kentish ancestor! 
Being from Cananda, it must be difficult for you to research your family tree, so let me know if you need any help, Karen... it's all about Salt Lake City though!

Thank you for your reply and for the warm welcome. I have many Friend ancestors from Kent... mostly from Dover and surrounding areas... Sibbertswold in particular or Shepherdswell as it was called earlier. I would be interested in hearing about your line.
