It just shows you doesn't it (?) that people who drive through or only know the high street think the whole area is 'grimy' as Jackiebee has just said.

If you venture off into the roads off the high street Jackiebee you will soon find many lovely tree-lined streets. All the Thorpes, and the roads opposite, Newlands Park, and the roads beyond that down towards Penge East, and also Tannsfeld, Girton and Trewsbury, which become Cator with £1million plus houses. There are also parks in the centre too, Mayow and Alexandra Rec, which has a lovely playground beneath a lovely canopy of trees at the bottom, lovely for shading little ones in the summer.

The high street in no way reflects the way many of the people who live here like to live!
