Sorry guys... My old web space provider lost all my files, so I'm now hosted on a new server, but my previous backup was before the time I had posted the pics. To put them back up, I'll have to go through the process of finding and resizing them again..... but I think the regulars, if not most people, got to see them? I don't live in Sydenham anymore, so I'm not really a regular here, although I plan on moving back sometime in the future.

Here's a pic of Cobb's Corner:

I saw a photo of an old set of shops before Walter had his department store here. What I would like to know is this: was it just the butcher's shop (previously stood on that same corner) that was demolished with Cobb's new corner being an extention of the old building? Or was the entire set of shops demolished to make way for Cobb's store? Or could it be that just the outside of the original building was altered around the corner?

So... nobody has anymore info about the fate of Sydenham Hill Estate? I would like to see some photos of the houses that were built inside the woodland surrounding St. Mary's Oratory; any ariel photos exist of Upper Sydenham before 1958? If anyone has any photos, at all, they would like to share then please let me know... would love to see some photos of Bell Green before the savacentre was built; was the pattern of the roads (Stanton Way) changed around this time? My memory is too vague...
