Slatters on the telly

Post by jeff »

Good to see Slatters on the Heston Blumenthal programme last night. He needed advice on how to build a Hansel & Gretel house made out of cake and came all the way to SE26.
I wonder if he sampled any of our other delights - pint in The Dolphin, pizza at Trat Raf, coffee at Kente or maybe he just got his nails done, had a kebab then a quick punch up in the 2 halfs.

My wife visited the cake shop in October last year, and said that Heston Blumenthal had been in the bakery all night. I wondered whether he had cooked the apple turnover I was eating.

My girlfriend and I went to the Fat Duck in February and were (only slightly) disappointed to find that snail porridge is no longer on the menu!

A massive thumbs up to Slatters. They made our wedding cake for us and it was absolutely gorgeous. I really do highly recommend Slatters :D

Why don't they call themselves Slatters? When I first got here I had no idea what people were talking about when they referred to Mustis or Slatters for ages!

I look forward to catching the program on 'ternet. Well done to Slatters aka The Cake Shop. I'm surprised they don't milk the publicity.

Ah yes minifox, I know they used to be called Slatters, are there new owners? Any reason why they changed their name to 'the cake shop'?
