Biscuitman, you forgot me for the curry, is it punishment because I am always late in responding?

Guys,

It looks like you have ten without me - if so, I'm going to give this week a miss - the sh*t has hit the fan at work today and I could do with staying late to tidy some of it up. If you need me for a game, I wouldn't want to let you down and should be able to make my excuses here and leave on time. Let me know!

Cheers

Hi Chazza
Yeah looks like we've got bang on 10 without you. Thanks for letting us know though.
Next week perhaps?

No, simply my ineptitude. But I'm sure we can find a suitable punishment at Gurkha's for your regular lateness.

So, in for the curry are:
- Parklife
- Biscuitman
- Ali B
- Donny
- Marathon
- Thomas
- Ulysses
- Droid
- Trickster
- Joe P

Ineptitude seems to be contagious!!

Sorry Chazza - I didn't mean to leave you off the list - but if you've got to work then I hope we'll see you again in the near future.

Cheers,

Thanks to all who played last night: 5 V 4 a good game but hard workout for the 4.

Finances: Carried over: £33.50
Goals fee: £58.90
Payment by players: £54.00 (9x6.00)
Kitty to carry over next week: 33.50 + 54.00 – 58.90 = £28.60

Please post availability for the 18th.

I floated the idea last night but what do other players think about using some of the kitty to pay for 2 x goalkeeper's gloves?

I'm just not sure how far £28.60 will stretch behind the bar in Gurkhas between 10 or so. Plus, without gloves, the balls are hard to catch in the wet, sore on the hands if it's wet and cold. Also, this isn't the 1970's and we're no Ray Clemences.

Thoughts?

I'm in for next week.

Buying some goalkeeper gloves sounds a good idea, and it won't break the bank. Sports Direct have got some on sale for £2.99 (reduced from £7.99).

(Marathon - that reminds me, I must give you the spare cash from when I was in charge.)

Latest curry update:
- Parklife
- Biscuitman
- Ali B
- Donny
- Marathon
- Thomas
- Ulysses
- Droid
- Trickster
- Joe P
- sydenhamboy

That's more than we actually get for a match!

I'm really looking forward to the curry.

Can I float this idea also?

9 was fairly tough last night...rush goalie is no fun. Should we perhaps all PM the gaffer our mobile numbers? Then he can send us his. That way if anyone is running late or cannot acutally make it we won't be still waiting?

This is NOT personal toward anyone as mostly everyone will post a late update on this thread but by that point most will be heading back from work/to the ground...

This is, again, not aimed at anyone. Last night is not the first time though that we've thought we were a certain number only to realise we weren't.

Footy on Wednesday night...

Post by droidathon »

Hi Chaps,

I'm afraid I can't make it for Wednesday 18th as I will be in York! But I will be back the week after with a much healthier left big toe!

So watch out!

cheers

Droid.

marathon
biscuitman
aidan

I need names by lunchtime today

I think goalies gloves are a good idea; any one else have a view on this?

And I will get around to pm-ing you all with my mobile number so that late arrivals can let me know.
