The Brownies at CPP

Wouldn't win any badges for social responsibility.

Come Sunday morning, the bowl (and much of the surrounding area) was an absolute tip - plastic bags and other waste all over the place. If I'm charitiable, I'd suggest it could have been caused by foxes breaking open rubbish bags. But I don't think it was, given the extent of the carnage.

And it would have been nice if they'd told anyone in advance that they were coming, before shutting off a large swatch of the park for hours on end. A sign or two perhaps, or a message posted on either here or Virtual Norwood, wouldn't have gone amiss.

Not impressed, at all.

I live next to the park and have to say that the live band was louder than any other concert I've ever heard there. The windows of the house were vibrating..........

Not to mention the PA system, bellowing out instructions for how to get home well into the night!

I knew what coach they would be catching to get to croydon from the Sydenham end of Lawrie Park Road!

Let's hope they have learned the lesson of how not annoy the local population by the time they have their bi-centenary celebration :?
