Just having a quick look through some of the postings and it would seem to the outsider that Sydenham is not a good place to live. Surely there must be some positive views about the area (good transport links, affordable etc) I would be interested to hear (positive) opinions about shops, services etc.
Whilst I appreciate that things could improve, If I were a prospective business looking to open up in Sydenham from some of the postings, it would seem like a negative thing to do.
I'd also be interested in your views on how you would sell Sydenham to a prospective business.
I have only lived in Sydenham for a few months but I love it. I like the variety of housing and people and I love the parks and woodland. It seems to me that there is more of a sense of community here than other areas of London that I have lived in.
From a business point of view there is quite a bit going in favour of Sydenham.
1. Only a quarter of an hour's travel from London Bridge by rail.
2. No Parking Meters (yet).
3. Little competition to worry about.
4. The addition of Sydenham to the Underground map is likely to result in a substantial increase in property values.
