Anyone go to "The big lunch" last weekend?

I didn't get involved in one, because I knew I would be away for most of the day.

However, I did gatecrash the fag end of one in Bromely, visiting a mate on the way home.

There were BBQs, childrens games, raffles, and a fire engine. Seemed like everyone was having a good time - they'd even stumped up £200 to get insurance, to allow them to close the street.

I might become "the man with the clip board" next year, and see if my neighbours would be up for it.

Anyone else go to one?

We have a street summer party every year - nothing new! This year we had a jazz band ,bouncy castle and BBQ. Everyone brings food . Not telling you the street as we don't want gatecrashers. But its a nice community thing to do
