Sydenham's pipeline
Nope not Transco, bless 'em. I’m talking about all the good stuff in the pipeline for Sydenham. That pipeline. Imagine if you will one big fat pipeline with a knot in the middle. And at the end a ssssslllllooooowww drip of projects. So for example you wait a long while until... ‘drip’, our gorgeous roundabout by Cobb’s corner. But no worries, nobody get their knickers into a twist about it. There’s more plans in the pipeline, and great schemes being drawn up as we speak. Ah good.
Ive noticed nobody has replied to this and think its because the threads are becoming very 'samey', though im sure this is something that naturally happens on forums every now and then. However ive been wanting to know peoples suggestions about their vision for Station Appraoch and the new Overground design for the train station.
If anything is in the'pipeline' for Sydenham it is this. Any ideas of how its going to look, does anyone know how Station Appraoch is going to be developed?
Should it be padestrianised or taxi's and drop off point only?
Should new signage be placed along the road?
Should the ticket office be relocated or extended?
New toilet facilities?
Does anyone think we currently need or will need more Oyster readers?
Will Property World be staying put?
Safer environment with more lighting on passage way between Station Approach entrance and Silverdale?
Will anyone want to see a Coffee Bar at the station?
Where will the 'Overground' roundells be located around the station?
Parking. How do we feel about the likelihood of metered parking in the town with Girton Road car park likely to charge in the future and metered parking zones in the residential streets?
Another £50,000 mosaic for the Station entrance?!!!!! Joke!
