Recommended tradesmen/builders
Hi. Is anybody able to recommend any good tradesmen (bricklayer, carpenter, electrician and plumber) or, alternatively, a good building firm? I'm currently renovating and extending a property in Sydenham and I could use some help!

Ref good builder
My brother in law is based in Sydenham and has a building firm which specialises in renovations and extensions. If you are still looking for a builder let me know and I'll post his details

Good builder / handyman
Hi Alex, we can recommend Patrick -- he does general carpentry, bathrooms + kitchens, plumbing, tiling, garden maintenance and locks.
We had him do some work in our flat recently and were very pleased -- he cut our kitchen worktop to fit a wider cooker, and fitted a couple of new cabinets. He also put up loads of shelves on different types of walls (plasterboard, brick, wood etc). Everything was very well finished - he took a lot of care and did a really professional job, also tidied up bits where previous handymen had done hack jobs in the past!
He works very quickly and solidly, doesn't take any breaks, doesn't mess around. He tidied up after himself, was easy to have around, and we thought his rates were very reasonable (£250 for a full day, or if it's a smaller job then he charges £50 for first hour and £30 after that).
We have been having loads of work done on our flat since we moved in, and it's been such a hassle finding good, reliable tradesmen.... but we've been very pleased with Patrick's work and would recommend him without hesitation.
Anyway, hope that helps. Good luck with your building work!!
Cheers
