Snooker Club + Snooker/Pool Teams

Post by jameaton »

Hi everyone,

I have recently moved to sydenham and I was wondering if anyone knew of a snooker club near Sydenahm?

I am also looking to jon a snooker or pool team in a local league. Does anyone know of a team looking for players?

Thanks

I've never been in, and have only seen it from afar - so can't even vouch if it's open, but there's what looks like a snooker hall behind the Greyhound pub (the road just to the left if you're looking at the pub).

I don't know about pool teams but if you're any good you can come down the Golden Lion some night and beat my wife (not literally) because she always beats me..

I think you're talking about Spring Hill, and that place is closed, bordering on derelict, I'm afraid!

There is a snooker hall in Penge, behind the Police station - access through an alley way from the high street.
There is another in Catford, above....somerfield I think.
There's a rileys in Lewisham too.

The Golden Lion and Dolphin have a pool table. The Bell in Lower Sydenham has two.

The Greyhound have taken out their pool table.

The pub near the post office has pool tables too, but I don't personally like it there.

You can also play snooker at the Livsey Social Hall at Bell Green.

Hope this helps!

That looks like the one i mentioned.

I used to go there sometime ago, before it went a (what looks like) MAJOR refurbishment. It was a bit of a dump then, but looks great now! Might have to pay a visit!
